The building is situated on a 48,000 square meter plot on a hilltop with a westward slope, offering panoramic views of the Thermaic Gulf. The public reception area serves as the main axis connecting all activities. The building program includes, among other things: a transportation technology exhibition, a technopark, an exhibition of ancient technology, an amphitheater, a digital planetarium, a virtual reality simulator, a conference center, temporary exhibitions, a library, laboratories, offices, and warehouses.
