Embroidery
The Stitch a Pixel brand was born in Thessaloniki to combine the traditional cross-stitch technique with pixel art. Kelly Efraimidou, a graduate of the Theater Department of AUTh, a set designer and lighting designer, picked up a needle and thread and began to tell her own stories.
Inspired by the pop culture of the 80s – and more, she embroiders fabrics to create decorative frames, bookmarks, jewelry, clothing, and useful items. She experiments with the boundaries of what can be embroidered and what cannot, beyond fabric. Lately, she has been focusing on embroidery on wooden surfaces.
Stitch a Pixel found its home in a beautiful space in the center of Thessaloniki, in a neighborhood where young designers and new business ideas come together. Its dream is to operate as more than just “Kelly’s workshop,” serving as a meeting place for those who love handmade creations, especially embroidery, those who want to make a handmade gift, those who want to purchase all the materials related to embroidery, and those who want to participate in embroidery workshops, whether they are adults or children.
