Printing on clothing, bags, cups
“Subworks – Arts From Underground” is a workshop-store mainly engaged in creating handmade prints on clothing, tote bags, and art prints using the silk screen printing technique. It started as a brand by Vasilis and Efi during the first lockdown period, while both of them had previously been involved in visual arts and applied arts. With a great love for illustrations, “subtitled” minimal designs, comics, and the need to wear their own T-shirts, they began to print their designs on shirts in a small room of their home. After two years, as their work outgrew their house, they opened their official workshop in Thessaloniki.
They draw their inspiration from elements of everyday life, infusing their designs with a dose of humor and personal reflection, plenty of music, space, and lots of cats. They now print their designs on other useful items like cups, coasters, keychains, etc. Besides their own merchandise, they also undertake printing and production for third parties.
