The modern Vassiliko Theatre is an entirely new construction on the same site, with a design resembling the open-air theater by Doxiadis and Schippers. The original building, an example of Modernism, was low and oriented perpendicular to the road and the sea, emphasizing the vertical lines of the White Tower and allowing its smaller facades to remain visible.
